Massage Therapist Schools

The massage therapy industry is predicted to grow in the future which is great if you are interesting in becoming a massage therapist. To do so, you will need to find a massage program in your area. The good news is that there are programs near you.

The requirements will differ by institution and by state. Typically, each curriculum will require 750 to 1000 training hours. It is not unusual for this to take up to a year to finish. After all training is complete, students will usually be required to pass a certification exam before finding a job.

In the classroom students will learn many different aspects of the massage career. Much of the curriculum will cover science, medical, history and workplace safety topics.  After classroom study is complete, students will typically move on to “hands on” training to learn massage techniques like chair massage, deep tissue, swedish massage, sports rehab massage and much more.
